Should I upgrade from a Cannon 1000D to a Canon 60d?

The sensor size of both the cameras are almost the same.
1000D: APS-C 22.2x14.8mm
60D: APS-C 22.3x14.9mm

I can't switch to a Nikon because I have already purchased two Cannon EF-S lenses. I shoot mostly products. So, faster focus really doesn't help. Would the 60D expose a picture better than the 1000D. Should I wait a year for Cannon to bring out a larger sensor with the capacity to use EF-S lenses?. Please give me your opinion.

Well, for starters reason 60D is expensive like other 50D and 40D is that these semi-pro bodies are environmentally sealed for weather and water protection, so that comes at some price.

but for products I don't think it would be of much use, unless you plan to shoot Videos in future which 60D can do but 1000D cant do.

If you want to move to Semi-pro level, you can go for the 60D as you would see slightly bigger size when u hold and more options/features than the 1000D. But before that, check what would you use if for.

If you are gonna use 60D just like the 1000D then I would suggest not to go for it. In that case, for betterment, you can go for the 550D/600D or the Nikon D5100 which costs around 30s. All these provide great quality images and neat videos.
